I don't normally post about food but I couldn't resist. The Breslin, sister to the Spotted Pig, just started their dinner service a few weeks ago. Be prepared for a wait (translation, table will be available in two hours means you'll be waiting for oh... about three hours) and if you ask the hostess for an update you might end up walking away with your tail between your legs. I don't usually have the patience to wait for food but we were getting well lubricated at the bar and really... when pork galore awaits?? After we were finally seated we discovered they were out of the pork belly for two (WHICH PROBABLY WOULD'VE BEEN AVAILABLE 3 HOURS PRIOR.. but who's complaining). So we opted for the porks foot... which came out in the shape of a leg stuffed with meat and wrapped in pork skin at least an inch thick. It was scary and daunting and we ate it all. Naturally. Still. Full.
